Hear from our CEO on how Royalle Modelling teamed up with Medusa at the Versace Penthouse to bring you an impressive cover shoot for Moevir Magazine

A RAINY NIGHT OF VERSACE

"The sky opens ever so slightly with a whisper of sweet gentle rain. A glass of champagne and my favourite lingerie. I think I'll stay home tonight"

The Story

I received a call from my good friend at Medusa that one of their new Versace Penthouses had an unexpected availability. The challenge, however, was this would be in a couple of days and only for a few hours. Amidst organizing runway shows and international photoshoots, I agreed to do it. The Medusa shoots we've done over the years are always world-class. Their facilities are exceptional, and combined with Royalle Modelling's amazing team, the unison is always a hit.

So let's get to it.

Creating an elite team in a short amount of time is an art.

The harmony of personalities combined with the variance in artistic vision, aesthetics, and experience is a balancing act.

Uniting everyone on the same vision, and coordinating them to achieve these goals within a short time frame is something that not many can do. However, Royalle Modelling has the best team in the world and Ocampo Studio is exceptional so I am confident we'll have a great shoot

Shoot Day

The morning of the shoot arrived and I arrived at the meetup location to be greeted by the royalle models who were there well before their call time and Ryan Requierme from Model Shoot AU. This worked out well as it was my first time seeing the venue, so I planned to familiarise myself with the potential shoot spots and gauge the conditions for lighting. Ryan was a great help in this part and took the time to immediately start shooting some of the models to help them warm up.

Cesar and the Ocampo team arrived shortly after along with the rest of the models and the shoot truly began to kick off earlier than scheduled.

We split the venue into 3 shoot locations and began shooting the models in 3 groups. The spontaneity of creativity flowed through the air and the harmony amongst everyone allowed us to work together to try different concepts and ideas.

Jasmine from Medusa was an angel making sure that the team was well hydrated and fed, also using her artistic eye to supply us with Versace jewellery to give the girls an extra edge in their shots.

Watching them Blossom

Watching the girls blossom on this shoot was amazing. For some of them it was their first time meeting me, the CEO of the agency, and also their first time meeting each other. Any nerves completely dissipated when they entered the venue as the Versace Decor and artistic eye of Medusa design hypnotised them into the world of luxury and prestige

The shoot started in luxury dinner attire portraying an aura of sophistication, power and confidence which the girls did well. As the sun started to set, the girls were having a lot of fun and decided to switch to wearing lingerie to go for a more playful and edgy look.

This is where the bathroom shots took place as one of the models suggested the idea considering it was such a natural vibe.

I loved the contrast of chaos in the bathroom, with the elegance of the versace penthouse. Clothes and makeup everywhere with the girls working around each other to get some mirror time and touch up makeup.

These shots weren't planned but hit well.

Then off to the bedroom, lounge rooms and study for some other spontaneous creative shots. Each girl bringing her own unique flavour and style to the environment that created a beautiful variance in shots and styles.

Brining all the girls together for some hero shots was an art by itself. Working with a group of 7 is certainly challenging, but when it works, it works like no other.

We'll certainly be back for more, but for now enjoy our rainy night in Versace
